Inspired by the original Gond creation myth, The Creation Myth katoris feature Kekda Mal, the sacred crab, who helped the god Bada Dev shape the land as we know it. This isn’t just dinnerware — it’s a nod to a belief where nature is both witness and co-creator.

Crafted in smooth, chip-resistant porcelain and shaped with gentle asymmetry, these organic bowls are perfect for chutneys, dips, or a tiny portion of something that deserves a story.

Care Instructions
Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. Just rinse, reload, retell.

According to the origin story, a crow was created and tasked with finding clay by the Ultimate Creator, Badadev. Along the way, the bird found Kekda mal, the crab and together they dug up the earthworm which spewed out the soil. Over water, the Makda dev (spider king) spun a web, the soil from the earthworm was scattered over it and thus land was created. Badadev then released all living creatures on the land.

This usually depends on the collection itself. All our pieces are dishwasher safe, any piece that does not have gold detailing is miocrowave safe. You can find more details on specific collections on the product page.
