Leading nowhere, yet everywhere.
I reach for the walls,
For the patterns carved by hands long gone.
The balconies stand guard,
Watchful over stories untold,
And the air, thick with memory,
Rests between each carved lattice.
Beneath these ornate thresholds,
The city’s pulse slows,
Capturing the hum of a thousand feet
That once pressed against ancient tiles.
In this geometry of light and shadow,

as if it understands the longing
