Part of The Call of the Wild series co-created with Dia Mirza and Sanctuary Nature Foundation, The Dancing Deer pays homage to the endangered Sangai and the communities protecting its fragile ecosystem through Cocoon Conservancy. 

Each plate is set within a custom shadow-box frame, topped with a glass front for timeless elegance. Only 50 pieces exist — serial-numbered and embossed to celebrate its rarity. Framed in matte-finish fiber and crafted from premium ceramic, it arrives ready to hang and hard to ignore.

The sound of slow, trepid hooves hung in the air as the Sangai halted to a stop.
As it stood poised on the marshy wetland, its majestic silhouette remained painted a silvery blue from the moon’s gentle, intuitive glow. The stag observed its surroundings, gracefully adjusting its gait to navigate its ethereal floating home.Would they be the last of their kind?

A boy stood watching from a distance; for decades the people from his village had been trying to safeguard this tiny population of the endangered dancing deer aware of the fragility that shrouded their existence.

For a fleeting moment, their eyes met. The Sangai’s intense gaze pierced through the darkness to greet its fellow inhabitant. They both slowly blinked, almost in acknowledgement.

The stag receded into the tapestry of foliage, reclaiming its rightful place in the natural world. Yet, the encounter had etched an indelible mark upon both beings, a testament to the profound interconnectedness that binds all life on Earth."

Each art piece also is centred around critical narratives highlighting the impact of urbanisation on the ecosystem & therefore generates awareness about the same.
How is this a Limited Edition Collection?
This collection has been created in collaboration with Dia Mirza & Sanctuary Nature Foundation to produce only 50 pieces of each art piece in two volumes. It brings 9 different ecological narratives to the forefront through 10 exquisitely crafted artworks created with gifted artists, including the celebrated Johnny Ganta.
What are the products in this collection?
This collection spans across 3 different product types. We have 24 K gold rimmed ceramic plates, canvases that are crafted in mixed cotton with acrylic priming and premium fibre framed, decor plates with a dust-proofed glass front to give the artworks a two-dimensional look.
Can these be hung on the wall?
All the products from this collection come with a pre-attached wall hook that can be easily mounted onto your walls.
What are the sizes of the products?
The framed decor plates from this collection come in two different sizes depending on the art piece: 11 X 11 by 2 inches (Frame) 7.5 inches (Plate) & 15 X 15 by 2 inches (Frame) 10 inches (Plate). The canvases are 18 X 24 X 1 inch while the 24K gold rimmed ceramic plates are 10 inches.
